Supply Chain Management is the oversight of materials, information, and services as they move in a process from supplier to end customer. Managing the chain includes identifying of cost-effective flow of materials from supplier to end buyer, with a main goal of fulfilling customer’s requests.

Trough cost reduction, as well as quicker and more adequate fulfilling of various customers’ requests, the role of Supply Chain Management rapidly becomes key generator of company’s effectiveness. In comparison with your rivals, with this tool you become able to deliver the products with lower costs and higher quality.

The lecture will cover the development of Supply Chain Management concepts in Croatian organizations and compare Croatian and global best practices in this field.

Gordan Badurina works as Senior Supply Chain Manager in Pliva. He is responsible for production and demand planning, stocking, distribution and operational sales and has 12 years of working experience in SCM area. He is visiting professor at Zagreb’s Faculty of Economics and Business, as well as president and co-founder of Croatian Supply Chain Association.
