The idea of COTRUGLI Forum that will be delivered on Tuesday, October 13th in Zagreb is to present different view on Controlling function. The lecture “Controlling – Encompassing the company“ will be held by Ana Herman.
Controlling core contribution in this case is seen not just as a function which defines goals, measures and analyzes accordingly, but, prior to it, Controlling should recognize key-competences, integrate the system around these competences and be of help to managers to go beyond their existing objectives.
The lecture presents concept of integrated thinking on one dairy farm through merging its key supply-chain processes, controlling measures of process performance, and know-how in dairy business in order to create a brand-new product (value proposition) – ERP for farm business.
The idea of this new product (ERP farm business solution) is: once you have developed core-competences and superior product that differentiate you from the competition, you should go beyond your original value proposition (fresh milk production) by making a completely new product out of your core-competences. In this way you can additionally leverage your core competence, improve your existing supply chain efficiency, make stronger alliances and commitments, make M&A go easier and make the whole business more profitable.

Ana Herman, M.Sc.MBA was Manager of Resource Management within Supply Chain – financial and resource management, controlling at Pliva d.d. In the area of Supply Chain Management she was Project Manager as Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. In the last few years she is Advisor to the President at Farmland LLC and Member of the Board of Directors as Chief Development Officer - Corporate development; Strategic and operational HR and IT functions (ERP design and introduction); Supply Chain management; Strategic Controlling.
