1. Business School Profiles are Now LIVE on Our Website - Please Update Yours

We have just launched the much anticipated bespoke Business School Profiles on the Association's website. This section of our site offers you the opportunity to customise the way potential MBA students see your school's profile in our business school search page. Some of the fields that can be added include a direct contact to your school for prospective applications and inquiries, a photograph of the campus, details of the courses offered etc. Please update your profile and make use of this great marketing channel. The Association of MBAs' website receives 24,000 visits each month – you could market your school to potential MBA students coming to the Association's website for impartial advice on MBA study.

Your profile page can be customised at any time, however, we recommend that you create a basic profile as soon as you can, otherwise you could be missing out on prospective applications. We have put together a tutorial to guide you through the process of customising your school's profile page.

In order to log in to the business school profile page, you will need to put the log in details sent to you by email last week in the top right-hand corner log in area of this page. If you have not received them or need a reminder of your username and password, please contact Niraj Thawani, Database Administrator, at n.thawani@mbaworld.com.

2. Download our Latest Report: The Post Downturn MBA – an Agenda for Change

Last week the Association's Research & Consultancy Centre launched a major research report, The Post Downturn MBA: An Agenda for Change. In partnership with Durham Business School, this report utilised responses from MBA alumni members and business schools to assess the skills, competencies and knowledge that MBAs need to add value in the current climate and into the future.

The report drew a number of interesting conclusions, pointing to the need for more concentrated focus on pedagogy and relevant real world practices, an increase in coverage of areas such as risk management and ethics, and the development of a broader curriculum that extols a stakeholder-driven approach to management. It also illustrates that accredited business schools have been taking a proactive approach to shaping the MBA for the future needs of management and in shaping the agenda for change.

3. Principles for Responsible Management Education – A Webinar to Highlight How This Partnership Affects Your School

PRME

The Association of MBAs is a strategic partner of the United Nations Global Compact as part of the Compact’s Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative.

We are planning a series of joint initiatives over the coming year, including inviting PRME to participate in our 2010 accreditation criteria review.
Find out more about the initative and about how our work with PRME will impact your school by signing up for our webinar. We regret that due to the limited number of places available, only one representative from each school will be able to attend. Due to the high profile of this event, we strongly recommend that the Dean of your school takes part.

The seminar is taking place on Wednesday 13 Jan 2010, and to ensure all our stake holders around the world have equal access to it, we are repeating the session at these times:

Session 1 For the Asia Pacific time zones,12.00 – 13.00 GMT
Session 2 For all other time zones, 14.30 – 15.30 GMT

To register, email n.clark@mbaworld.com. There are only 30 places available on each session so book early to avoid dissapointment.

For more information about the PRME visit www.unprme.org.

4. Intake and Graduation Survey - Download Yours Here!

The Intake and Graduation Survey is an annual report produced by the Association’s Research & Consultancy Centre, providing essential data on the worldwide accredited MBA market. The 08-09 edition provides information on applications, offers, enrolments and graduations for calendar year 2008, both by global population and by regional analysis. Data is also compared to figures from 2007, providing an invaluable part of the Association’s package of services to its accredited schools. Your complementary copy is now available to download.

5. Advertising Opportunities with the Association

The Association of MBAs offers a number of channels to help you reach a truly global, targeted audience.

Take advantage of these opportunities:
  • Executive Education Supplement in Ambition
The Association's quarterly magazine, Ambition, circulates amongst a worldwide audience of MBA alumni, business leaders, students and business school professionals – many of whom have a serious interest in further professional development. Following the success of our recent DBA supplement, we are now inviting schools to promote appropriate programmes in an Executive Education Supplement that is planned for the April issue of Ambition. Deadline for copy: beginning of March 2010

  • Advertise your programme in the Guide to MBA section of our website
With thousands of visitors each month, the Guide to MBA section of www.mbaworld.com is one of the most visited areas of our website and an important resource for those wanting to learn more about MBA study. Traffic volume peaks considerably in the run-up to Accredited Fairs due to extensive press coverage, so contact us for more information on how to take advantage of this unique opportunity.

If you are interested in either of these opportunities, or would like to explore other advertising possibilites, please contact Tina Vifor, Marketing Manager, at t.vifor@mbaworld.com for a rate card and further information.
